ErgoProlipsis’ experienced staff carries out testings on portable electrical appliances and their extensions (power strips) to ensure their proper operation.
The service applies to all market sectors (ranging from offices to construction sites) since it is applicable to any portable equipment that operates with a power outlet. Through portable appliance testing we ensure:
- Safe use for both the employee and the employer
- Reduction of the risk of accidents caused by the use of electrical equipment
The legislation does not directly require portable equipment testing. However, it does require that the employer ensures that the equipment used is in good condition and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s requirements (Greek Law 395/94).
Testings are in line with the guidance provided by BS 7671 and the IET’s Code of Practice for In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment and includes: visual and electrical inspection using a suitable device.
The result for each device or equipment can be imprinted either on a sticker on the device tested or in the final report delivered by our company.
