Work Ergonomic Analysis Study

Work Ergonomic Analysis Study

Millions of workers across Europe suffer from work-related Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) which remain the most common health problem. MSDs are cumulative disorders, which are mainly caused by:

  • handling loads, especially when turning and bending the body
  • repetitive movements or movements that require muscular strength
  • static postures of the body that cause strain

The work ergonomic analysis study is carried out in accordance with the standards and methods of the British National Regulatory Authority for Health and Safety at Work, Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and in accordance with the Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA), which is the assessment tool that determines the risk of musculoskeletal strain.

For the needs of the study, a thorough observation is conducted, as well as video recording and analysis of the movements of the workers in selected work positions. An appropriate risk assessment standard is then applied to determine the risk for each process.
