Some decisions do not require extensive deliberation, they simply reflect what you already believe in and consistently put into practice. Our participation in the UN Global Compact and the Global Compact Network Hellas, is one such strategic choice.

The UN Global Compact is the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative, bringing together more than 25,000 organizations across 167 countries. These include businesses, academic institutions, and civil society organizations that share a common commitment: to align their operations with principles related to human rights, labor standards, environmental protection, and anti-corruption. At the national level, the Global Compact Network Hellas serves as a dynamic platform for collaboration and knowledge exchange, bringing together more than 140 members.

With over 25 years of experience in occupational health and safety, ErgoProlipsis has established a strong track record in safeguarding employees and fostering healthy work environments. We complement this with integrated wellbeing and sustainability services, adopting a holistic approach that supports resilience and long-term value.

Our work is closely aligned with the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth). For us, these goals are not external requirements, they are a natural extension of our mission: the protection of people at work, the prevention of risks, the promotion of wellbeing, and the sustainable operation of organizations

Since 2022, the International Labour Organization has formally recognized a safe and healthy working environment as a fundamental principle and right at work. Yet, nearly 3 million people continue to lose their lives each year due to occupational diseases and work-related accidents, highlighting a critical gap between what we know and what we put into practice.

Joining the UN Global Compact represents a clear commitment to sustainable development and comes with meaningful accountability, including systematic performance measurement, transparency, and annual reporting through the Communication on Progress (CoP).

At the same time, we aim to actively participate in the network, with the objective of offering specialized expertise in occupational health and safety, as well as contributing to the development of wellbeing approaches that meaningfully enhance employees’ quality of life. Creating a truly healthy and safe working environment, one that also promotes wellbeing, requires scientific grounding and strategic integration, and this is a perspective we want to strengthen within the broader sustainability dialogue.

We firmly believe that prevention and sustainability cannot be advanced in isolation. They require shared understanding, common standards, and a shift in mindset, recognizing that workplace health, safety, and wellbeing are investments, not costs. The Global Compact Network Hellas provides the right platform to support this transition.

We are committed to active participation, transparent measurement and reporting of our progress, meaningful contribution to the broader dialogue, and continuous improvement of our performance. At the same time, we fully commit to implementing and advancing the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact, embedding them into our strategy and operations.
